It's really a no brainer when you do this every weekend. Song selection and programing is extremely important to an MC/DJ. They should work together for one common cause. I truly believe that an MC/DJ Combo at someone's event should be as tight and insync as a band. It was one of those thank you's that felt like things could have been better. At the end of the night the Dad came and thanked us. I made a few suggestions but fell on deaf ears. I wanted to get the adults involved with some classic disco, or a great 50's and 60's set. Throughout the night they became more responsive and danced to club and techno beats. The Birthday Girl did not want much interaction by the MC, nor did she want interactive dances ( Cha Cha Slide, Electric Slide). The Teens are not responding to any of the hip songs we are playing. The Room was split between the Teens and the Adults. Everyone is teary eyed as she looked beautiful in her ridiculously expensive dress. She enters the room and confetti canyons go off. The Clip was the icing on the cake as it added more drama for her grand entrance. The MC was awesome and had everyone in a frenzy for the entrance of the Birthday Girl.

A Few Photographers, Vi deographers and a hand full of Staff were on hand to pull this extravaganza off! The Room was amazing! 4 Plasma Screens, Intelligent Lighting, and Up Lighting throughout the room.

I was asked to assist the MC at this event and was eager to see the movie with the mixed track over it.Īt Last Friday was Super Sweet Sixteen day. The Mix would air over the plasmas before she entered the room. The Client was using it for his Daughters Sweet Sixteen. There were many challenges but I won't bore you with technical mixing details. The Client sent over an MP3 of the track and I began to work. A Few weeks ago I was approached to do a remix of a song from a movie.
